ITM University unlocked practical AI adoption for faculty

Question and Answers

FDP questions from university leadership.

Can FDPs be scheduled around the academic calendar?+
Yes. FDPs are delivered on-campus at a schedule agreed with university leadership. Most are conducted during inter-semester breaks or on dedicated faculty development days. A single FDP session runs 6 to 8 hours.
Is the AI Tools FDP relevant for non-technical faculty?+
Yes, it is specifically designed for non-technical faculty. The session uses real university teaching and assessment use cases. No programming knowledge is required. The focus is on integrating AI tools into existing workflows, not understanding the underlying technology.
How does FDP certification support NAAC documentation?+
FDP completion records are formatted for NAAC Criterion 3 (Research) and Criterion 5 (Student Support and Progression) submission. The IQAC receives a formatted report per FDP session, per faculty member. This directly contributes to the faculty development component of the NAAC score.
Can we request a custom FDP topic not listed?+
Yes. If your university has a specific faculty development need, whether a new regulatory requirement, a new tool deployment, or a subject-specific pedagogy challenge, we design a custom session. The three listed FDPs are the most common starting points.
