Vocational Courses

21st-century skills, inside the timetable.

NEP 2020 mandates vocational exposure from Grade 6 onwards. These courses are structured to be delivered within the school day, not as extras, but as curricular complements to core subjects.

Subject modules: AI Literacy, Financial Literacy, Robotics, Environmental & Life Skills

Artificial Intelligence Literacy

Age-appropriate AI concepts: how AI works, ethical considerations, practical tools. Prepares students for a world where AI fluency is a baseline career skill, not a specialist one.

What students learn

  • AI fundamentals & how models work
  • Ethical AI and responsible use
  • Hands-on tools exploration

Financial Literacy

Personal finance, saving, budgeting, and understanding economic systems, structured as engaging, real-world learning rather than theoretical economics. Builds the numeracy-to-life bridge.

What students learn

  • Personal budgeting & savings goals
  • Banking, credit & financial systems
  • Entrepreneurship fundamentals

Robotics & STEM Integration

Hands-on robotics modules integrated with existing STEM curriculum. Develops problem-solving, design thinking, and engineering mindset alongside academic performance.

What exactly is a Holistic Progress Card, and how is it different from a regular report card?+
A regular report card shows marks or grades per subject. A Holistic Progress Card, as mandated by NEP 2020 and PARAKH, captures student development across multiple dimensions: cognitive, social-emotional, physical, artistic, and vocational. Simplifying Skills generates HPCs by aggregating inputs from teacher observations, portfolio evidence, project scores, and rubric evaluations. Parents find it meaningful; administrators can identify students needing support, not just those who score poorly on tests.
Our school follows CBSE. Is your curriculum framework compatible?+
Yes. The framework maps to NEP's stage-based structure (Foundational, Preparatory, Middle, Secondary), which CBSE is aligning to. The theme-based curriculum for Grades 1-5 supplements, not replaces, the board syllabus. Competency-topic mapping is customisable to your board's subject structure. We have worked with CBSE, ICSE, and State Board schools across India.
How much time do teachers need to spend on the platform?+
The platform is designed to reduce total documentation time, not add to it. Initial onboarding requires 4-6 hours across 2-3 sessions. After that, day-to-day usage involves periodic observation logging, approximately 15-20 minutes per student per term. HPC generation is automated once data is complete. No manual report-writing involved.
At what grade level is SkillSphere most relevant for school students?+
SkillSphere is most impactful for Grades 8-12, when students face stream selection and early career thinking. A lighter version of interest and aptitude profiling is applicable from Grade 6 onwards to inform co-curricular choices. For early primary grades (1-5), the HPC's social-emotional and cognitive dimensions serve a similar orientation purpose without a separate assessment instrument.
Can we start with just one product rather than the full suite?+
Absolutely. Many schools begin with a single product, most commonly the HPC platform or SkillSphere assessments, and expand over subsequent terms. Starting smaller allows for a more focused implementation and better adoption. We recommend starting where your school has the most immediate pressure, often HPC before the end of the academic year.
